Meet Rafael! Rafael (he/him) is the Programs Manager for the Mount Pleasant Community Policing Centre. For Transgender Day of Visibility, he shares his story and what visibility means to him in his community work. At Mount Pleasant CPC, we believe in celebrating diversity and fostering inclusive spaces where everyone belongs. Research shows that diverse communities are safer—studies have found that neighbourhoods with greater diversity and social connection experience lower crime rates.
